Historia magistra vitae est – History is the teacher of life
The Negón Winery project of the Negro González family is not understood if its history is dispensed with.
Our wines are a faithful reflection of the history of the wine of the Riaza Valley area that our grandparents made decades ago as local wines.
The younger generation proudly recaptures the essence of what we were and what we currently are. With patience, much affection and the acquired technical knowledge, we produce signature wines in which nature, terroir, history and time are essential protagonists of this project.
Respect for the legacy of our grandparents has led us to recover the historical heritage of our land. We have reconditioned the underground family cellar of the 19th century, to shelter the barrels and bottles that house our most emblematic wines and give them rest.
That respect for the family legacy has also pushed us to recover vineyards of native varieties, used by our ancestors to produce wines as a source of food. They had been long forgotten as a result of productions based on the market economy.
